Agnes is a postdoctoral fellow at the Feinberg School of Medicine, on Northwestern University's Medical Campus. She enjoys collaborating with Northwestern University scientists and medical doctors to address long-standing biomedical questions. Agnes' research aims to identify novel diagnostic markers and treatments for the autoimmune disease, lupus. Her primary focus is on the alteration of genomic structure and function on the cellular level during an active disease flare. A day in the life of this scientist includes cell culture, lab bench experiments, microscopy, and image analysis intermingled with mentoring, grant application submissions, and manuscript preparations. She also enjoys partaking in biomedical outreach efforts.
