Raeed is a biomedical engineering PhD candidate working on the neuroscience of proprioception--the sensation of body movement. He works in the Miller lab at Northwestern University. He and his lab mates explore how people control their limbs, towards the goal of restoring limb control and sensation in spinal cord injury patients. Raeed is a little bit of a sci-fi nerd, and his free time is sometimes spent reading books, watching movies, and playing video games. When he has time, he also plays guitar and is trying to learn how to draw.
