Mark Waymack

Mark H. Waymack is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Co-Director of Graduate Programs in Health Care Ethics at Loyola University Chicago. In addition, he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Medical School for its Program on Medical Ethics and Humanities, and an Adjunct Associate Professor in Loyola University's Neiswanger Institute for Health Ethics.

Prior to coming to Loyola, Professor Waymack taught at The College of William and Mary, the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received his Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University in 1987.

Waymack has had special interests in ethics and aging, pediatrics, health care financing and reform, and research. He has served on several institutional ethics committees, an animal care and use committee, and an IRB. He also has been extensively involved in educating non-philosophy university faculty, locally and internationally, in how they might incorporate ethics into their own teaching.
