When I first saw the photo I used, I thought it looked like seaweed. As I studied it more, the plants began to look like antlers too. From there, I thought at first that I’d make the seaweed also the antlers of deer and make an ocean scene floating through the weeds/antlers. But as I studied the photo more, the seaweed began to look like carrot tops about to be harvested. I began to see hands grabbing the plants. Eventually it became hands reaching out for the plants/antlers of the deer as they ran along the bottom. It symbolizes the grabbing of resources from the earth’s ecosystem.
