As a current PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering, Lawrence gets the chance to peer into the microscopic world of nanoparticles using high-resolution transmission electron microscopes. With applications ranging from electronics to batteries and catalysis, nanomaterials are a burgeoning playground for scientists to explore materials properties and enable engineers to improve many devices and processes. He is excited about the possibilities of discovery! In his free time, Lawrence enjoys reading, working with computers, and playing ping-pong.
